This approach can be contrasted to stereotypical consulting engagements where the consulting firm’s sales staff promises amazing results to get in the door. Their managers negotiate a compromised scope, followed by junior consultants delivering the bare minimum before flying off to the next engagement leaving little to work with. We refer to this as “hit and run” consulting, and abhor its effects on your business and the bad name it gives all consultants.
