Streamlined Upgrades
Sometimes SAP upgrades may be mainly a technical exercise, but depending on the number of releases being passed, it can be much more. Functionality can change, requiring new configuration and ultimately testing and training. Full data conversions may also be required and it can’t be assumed that these are automatic. Custom programs must also be reviewed to ensure that they are accommodated in the new release. Depending on the level of customization, this can be a demanding task as well. Phoenix has recently partnered with several long-term clients to efficiently upgrade their production SAP systems. We provided technical and managerial expertise to supplement the clients’ internal talent. This approach led to short project timeframes and smooth transitions.
